Born and raised in California, I arrived in Clarksville/Ft. Campbell in 1999 courtesy of the U.S. Army. After I ended my military service, I earned my B.S. in History with minors in Geography and Secondary Education from Austin Peay State University. I have also earned a Master of Educational Technology degree from Boise State University. Having previously taught at Northeast High for 8 years, I made the move to teach and coach at CHS in 2015. My classes this year will incorporate Digital Blended Learning in addition to traditional methods. Students will have plenty of opportunity in regard to student choice, or how they choose to display their mastery of standards throughout the year. This way students may play to their strengths and innate talents yet can also try out unfamiliar methods to learn new skills. U.S. History students will learn and discuss historical concepts from Reconstruction to present day; enabling them to make well-founded decisions as a U.S. citizen.
