Welcome to the 2018-19 school year. I am excited for a new school year and getting to know my students. [Some of the seniors I already know from English I when they were freshmen.] I am looking forward to a great year at CHS. Each school year starts as a blank page…and we write the final draft together.
This is my 11th year in CMCSS-- my 5th year at CHS. I grew up in the northwest corner of Indiana, about 40 miles from Chicago. I graduated from Indiana University and went on to get a master’s degree and several other certifications. I have taught middle and high school English and held other positions at the school and district levels. The work is demanding, but I love being a teacher.
My family moved to Clarksville in 2008. Our son graduated from APSU, and he lives and works in Nashville. My husband and I have been married for 40 years. My mom also lives with us, and she recently celebrated her 100th birthday! We have two rescue dogs, Bud and Duke.
Clarksville High School will provide all students with the academic and social skills to graduate, to expand their horizons, and to reach their fullest potential as productive members of a global society.
