Most students call me Mr. B. I teach Theatre I and Speech.

I am in the midst of my third decade as a teacher at Clarksville High. In addition to my duties as Speech Coach, I am the faculty sponsor for Model United Nations, for Youth in Government, for Mock Trial, for Poetry Out Loud, and for the National Speech and Debate Association. I received my B.A. from Austin Peay (1982) with a degree in English, in Speech and Theatre, and in Philosophy. I have done graduate work at Virginia Tech and at Cumberland University.

I am a widower and have two adopted daughters from Honduras. My wife Cyndi was a 1980 CHS graduate and a former second grade and kindergarten teacher for CMCSS. My daughters are also Wildcats: Bettye is a 2009 graduate of CHS, and Sheyna is a proud member of the Class of 2010.

I served as a campus minister at Virginia Tech with the Churches of Christ for eleven years. I enjoy spending time with my family and preaching each Sunday in Cumberland City.
