Hello students and parents! Hope you are as excited as I am about the 2017-2018 school year. This will be my sixth year teaching at Clarksville High School. I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a degree in Math Education. i am a wife and a mom. I had inspiring teachers in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades who completely revolutionized my perception of mathematics. I hope to be just as inspiring as those three wonderful teachers. I look forward to working with you in Algebra 1 this year. Have a great year Wildcats!

I loved seeing some of my students at Freshman Orientation on Thursday. I look forward to this new school year and am excited for all my CHS "mathaletes" to dive into Algebra. See you all on Monday.

Recommended Supply List - Algebra I

  • 3-ring binder (preferably 2 inch)
  • Plenty of loose-leaf notebook paper
  • Pencils Required
  • Tab dividers (not required but helpful)

Students are not required to purchase a calculator. They will have access to one in class. However if you are interested in purchasing your own personal graphing calculator, here is some helpful information:

  • What type?

TI-84+ or TI-84+ Silver Edition (more memory for apps); TI-84+ CE (more memory & color display)

  • Where to buy NEW?

Wal-Mart, Target, Office Depot, Office Max, or the Texas Instrument website.  Costs can range from $85.00 to $150.00.

  • Where to buy USED?

EBay, Amazon, Craig’s List, Study Masters.  Costs vary depending on where you purchase.  I have seen them as low as $40.00.

Although graphing calculators are expensive, know that your child will use it for all four years of high school and throughout college as well.
